The Black Panther Party
October 11 of the current year 2011, marked the 45th anniversary of the Black Panther Party. A brave organization at the time which represented Civil Rights movements and African American Activism during the 1960s. Huey Newton and Bobby Seale were young students from Oakland, CA which began to support Civil Rights Movements by the influence of Malcolm X's philosophies and beliefs.
The Black Panther Party was militant, and fought against police brutality, incrimination, harassment, and assassinations. The Panthers' power and membership began to heavily populate at a fast inclining rate in Black urban communities. They played a large role in claiming their Black Liberation, Civil Rights Movement, and Black Power. Allies came along as the communities began to unite to create a unified movement within all Black organizations.
